My Family
The more things change, the more they stay the same. | | |
| I'm back from Minnesota where I spent a week for Christmas playing Rook and Euchre, shopping in downtown Northfield, sledding on St. Olaf hill, and making snow penguins.
Grandma, during the middle of a card game:
--Did you hear? They think Humpty-Dumpty might have been pushed!
Uncle Coke and Kendre, walking downtown:
--Kendre, do you want a horsey-back ride?
--A horsey-back ride! It's called a piggy-back ride!
--That's ridiculous. Have you ever heard of someone riding a pig?

| When it comes to eating spaghetti, I suck.

The Flexing Flutterbees! (the girls from my cabit at camp)

Kathleen's in Russia! That leaves just two at "The Myd" (our apt).

| Summer vacation is cooler than an ice chest! I spent last week at
camp with a cabin of 8 little 2nd grader girls swimming, tubing,
horseback riding, doing magic tricks, and juggling. I met some
really fun people, and to top it all off, I got to squeeze in Lauren's
graduation. Now, I'm just kickin' back in Houston. Today,
I am going to continue with my quest to learn the entire Spanish
language in two months or less. (Maybe I'll get in the Guiness Book of World Records!) Any phrases that I'll need to
know when I go to Mexico? Yesterday, Ben taught me how to say,
"Mi tío es verde, y mi pluma está en la calle." Very important.

| I shook hands with the principal today and walked out of Sam
Houston. I have no plans on ever going back. New adventures
await at Spring Woods in August, but that's two months away...
It's summertime!
